Green Spirulina Smoothie
Spirulina is a nutritional power house I canβt get enough of. It contains over 100 nutrients! Spirulina contains 60-63 % protein, up to 13 % of minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, and Zinc as well as complete vitamin B groups and many important anti-oxidants... and the list goes on!
Donβt be afraid to (attempt at least) to get your kids into green smoothies as well!
My 2yo actually loves the slightly sweet taste of spirulina. The more you make it the norm, the more likely they are to get on board. Nothing like a green smoothie in the hands of babes to make a mums heart happy! Enjoy xx Ash
For the smoothie blendβ¦.
150mls of water or coconut water
1 cup frozen zucchini (trust me π)
1 cup spinach fresh or frozen
1 medjool date
1 heaped teaspoon of spirulina
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Optional
Swap Β½ frozen banana for the date (if you like it a bit sweeter, this smoothie is not sweet)
