Caramelised almonds with hemp seeds.....I love garnish, toppings, things to sprinkle and snack on that make a dish shine. So simple, but special. These are perfect for just that!
Caramelised Almonds with Hemp Seeds
¾ cup almonds chopped
¼ cup almonds whole
1 ½ tablespoon of Coconut oil
2 teaspoon Coconut sugar
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
In a small pan on the stove heat coconut oil and sugar until oil melts and sugar dissolves. Add chopped and whole almonds. Swirl around in the pan to coat almonds and let sit on med-high heat for 1- 2 minutes. Swirl again, recoating almonds. Let sit another minute until almonds are toasted brown and coated. Let mixture cool.Transfer into a bowl or container and mix trough hemp seeds.
You can store in the fridge or pantry for up to 1 week. If you keep them in the fridge, the coconut oil will set and you will lose the sheen. You can warm them if you have the oven on, or in the microwave or in a pan again or eat as is if they are just for you as they are still delicious. Enjoy x
